Whats on at Dubbed Out Festival?
THIS YEAR WE’VE GOT A VARIETY OF STYLES ON A NUMBER OF STAGES
It was always going to be hard to top the atmosphere from 2022 at Ashley Hall but we listened to what you all said and decided we had to bring back 3 acts in particular, aswell as some fantastic new bands and artists. And the only way we could do that was to introduce an extra performance area to this already fantastic VW festival lineup.
So we’ve got 3 areas. Slipper the Split stage, Warrens Classics and the Aplan Arena which is the bigtop circus tent housing the main stage. And of course, there you’ll see the return of The Lilacs, Scratch and Manchester Ska Foundation.
The Lilacs are going from strength to strength on the festival scene and the Indie pop band from Wigans latest single has reached number 4 in the itunes charts at the time of writing this so we’re chuffed they’ve found time in their tour to perform on the main stage at Dubbed Out Festival.
Scratch absolutely took the roof off when closing the main stage last year so it would be rude not to bring them back for another trip down the 90s memory lane. The trio also have some new material which they’ll debute at Dubbed Out Festival for the DOC crowd. Get your glowsticks ready and prepare to dance your socks off!
Manchester Ska Foundation No VW festival lineup is complete without Ska. This band was a no brainer when it came to the 2023 line up. I don’t think theres a better band to perform our favourite classic ska chart toppers from the likes of Madness and The Specials.
So who have we added to the 2023 DubbedOut vw festival lineup?
A PLAN ARENA
JERAMIAH FERRARI. Describe themselves as Indi pop Reggae. The absolute epitome of Summer festival vibes. Straight out of Manchester, these guys are going to go down a storm.
THE STANLEYS. The next big thing to come out of Wigan.
HOUSE OF WOLVES. For those that like something a little more powerful, a 3 piece from Preston with pure raw energy
JACKSON HEWITT. A northern rock band with a twist.
THE FACADES. A rock band with a real 70s vibe about them. Fronted by fantastic vocals.
THAT BRITPOP BAND. A cover band with real energy, performing the best of Brit Pop. Playing hits from the likes of Pulp, Oasis and Blur amongst other big british bands.
HAIG. They describe themselves as the Bastud son of Billy Bibby and New York T. A rock band with a style of their own.
SAGWAH. Can only be described as Electronic Gypsy folk. An absolutely mesmerizing sound accompanied by some awesome vocals.
HOPE FOR RETURN. A pleasure to see Hope for Return back with some Indie Rock n Roll.
MARK FRITH. Introducing his new band, The Faithful.
In addition to the main stage we’ve got a special treat. For those who want some dance music and flashing lights we’ve brought in SLIPPERS THE SPLIT SOUND SYSTEM! The stunning open top VW Split screen stage. It has to be said, there was a noticeable uptake in tickets when this stage was announced.
WARRENS CLASSICS AREA. Hosted by Chris Warren the mad hatter and his array of beautiful classic aircooled VW’s. Here you can relax to some soulful sounds, some disco and some acoustic performances.
